Letter to Darien
To All of my Fellow Supporters:
I started this website back in 2006 with the intent of helping victims of Darien Small. Little did I know it would generate the attention and receive the traffic it has. My intent was never to victimize Darien Small. From the inception of this site, my goal has been to alert people dealing with him and try to reconnect folks to their rightfully owed products and memories. I am glad to say that I have received many emails from potential victims of Darien, all thanking me for preventing the inevitable. A few people have even been able to confirm they either received products from Darien or from a generous photographer used by Darien due to this site.
However, it is with solace that I can confirm he was recently arrested in Maryland. He has a court date of 5/15/2008 on an outstanding warrant from criminal activities in 1992. Darien has been on the run long enough – and his past has finally caught up.
With that said, I have decided to decommission this website. I personally feel that it's time for me to move on and focus my energy on other aspects of my life. Most of you that have been affected have either exhausted your legal options or have succumbed to the fact that this was just another life experience that you have no control over. As far as Darien, the rest of his life is up to him, and I do not want the derogatory comments of this site following him around forever. I can only hope he chooses to change his ways and understand that under no circumstance is it acceptable to cheat, steal or make false promises. Should he choose to continue, I can guarantee he will find another website, just like this one, only created by future victims.
There are numerous people I'd like to thank. However, it would be inappropriate to list names on this site. If at any time you provided pertinent details to this site on Darien's whereabouts, know your contributions were genuinely appreciated.
My advice is to remain aware of your business dealings with anyone, not just Darien. I was once told by a very wise person, that the best lessons in life are the type where no one gets hurt. I am thankful to say that no one ever reported any type of physical violence to this site.
